The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Fee (PFBC) is continuing with a controversial plan to inventory and research a Class A wild trout water. Critics declare the train is being pushed much less by science than by social stress, with troubling implications for different prized streams.  At its July assembly, the company’s board authorised, 7-2, a discover of rulemaking to inventory rainbow trout in a three-mile stretch of Freeman Run in Potter County and to observe impacts on wild brown trout for 5 years, starting subsequent spring. . . . Opponents of the plan say the fee already has sufficient proof to know that including rainbow trout will degrade the self-sustaining fishery.
